Missouri Mansions Series

A massive mansion that was built by former MLB star Cole Hamels and his then-wife Heidi Strobel is now on the market for $14.5 million. The home sits high on a bluff overlooking Table Rock Lake not far from Branson.

Hamels and his family originally donated the home to Camp Barnabas. Barnabas is a Christian summer camp for children with special needs and chronic illnesses. The home was later sold to a private owner who has been working for years to finish the home.

Cole Hamels spent 15 seasons in the Major Leagues, primarily with the Philadelphia Phillies. He was a four-time All-Star and the 2008 World Series MVP.

Cole Hamels Mansion Specs:

  • 36,000 square foot
  • 19 bedrooms
  • 24 bathrooms
  • 8-car garage
  • Infinity pool
  • Children’s playground
  • Boat Dock
  • 104 acres

Strobel’s Story

In case you are wondering why Hamels built a home in the Ozarks, here is the reason. He married reality TV star Heidi Strobel from Buffalo, Missouri. She attended college at Drury University in Springfield, then returned to Buffalo to teach. That was until she landed a spot on Survivor in 2002. They planned to use the mansion in Branson as they vacation home, but ultimately decided to donate it to charity. Strobel and Hamels divorced in 2024.

The estate is listed by Jim Strong with Reece-Nichols Real Estate.
