Reviews:

“It’s one thing to be a history buff, but John is a true Missouri history buff
& believe me there is a difference.”

“The book’s timeline begins with Missouri’s quest for statehood and ends with the upcoming 2021 Missouri Bicentennial. It leaves the reader feeling proud of the place we call home, small towns, big rivers, urban centers, historic homes and towering skyscrapers.”

Where did you go to High School?
It is the quintessential question across Missouri. Since that is what most people want to know about our famous natives, that is one of our demarcation lines for inclusion in this “Missouri Legends” list!

Many Missouri history sites list people who became famous in Missouri as adults, or people who were born here but quickly moved away. We looked at the “formative years.”  To be a Missouri Legend, you had to spend many of those early years that set the path for you success in the Show Me State.

The book has been a great success.  However, we kept hearing from fans who said they wanted me to expand my list!  So we keeping added more Missouri legends that fit our criteria!

If you know of a legend from Missouri that you would like to see included on the site, just let me know. We are always looking for new people to add.
