Tim Kaine

Michael Timothy Kaine is a Democratic politician that grew up in Kansas but was educated at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City.  After graduation, he attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, where his hard work ethic and high intellect landed him a spot in Harvard Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree.  He opened a private law practice in Virginia before launching his political career when he won a seat on the Richmond City Council.  He followed that by being elected mayor of Richmond in 1998, then Lieutenant Governor in 2001, Governor in 2006, and then the United States Senate in 2013.  His quick rise to political prominence came to the attention of the nation when he was selected by Hillary Clinton as her running mate in the 2016 election where they lost to Donald Trump.
