Inside The $49 Million “Evergreen Crystal Palace”

One Of The Most Striking Homes in Missouri Sits on a Cliff Overlooking Table Rock Lake

Perched 200 feet above the shimmering waters of Table Rock Lake sits a structure that defies convention. The Evergreen Crystal Palace (also known as the Evergreen Lake Estate) isn’t just a home; it’s a 28,000-square-foot architectural statement. Sprawling across 350 acres of pristine wooded bluffland, this glass-and-marble fortress offers what are arguably the most commanding views in the entire Ozarks.

A Masterpiece of Early-90s Grandeur

Designed by architect Dennis Spencer for businessman Robert W. Plaster, this five-level compound in Branson West was completed in the early 1990s. Built to serve as both a lavish private sanctuary and a high-end corporate retreat, the estate remains a “time capsule” of unrestrained ambition.

The heart of the home is a soaring multi-story glass atrium. By blurring the lines between the rugged outdoors and the opulent interior, the design ensures that the panoramic lake views are the focal point of almost every room.

Unmatched Scale and Amenities

The interior is a labyrinth of luxury, featuring a list of amenities that looks more like a five-star resort than a private residence:

Palatial Living: Two master suites and over a dozen guest rooms.

Operational Excellence: Multiple kitchens, caretaker quarters, and dedicated conference rooms.

Unique Features: A private indoor shooting range and a built-in elevator connecting all five levels.

Automotive & Air: An 8,000-square-foot garage with space for 20 vehicles, plus a private helipad.

Waterfront Assets: Four private lakefront peninsulas and a dedicated boat dock.

Intriguingly, the estate also holds a bit of mystery: two time capsules are sealed within the atrium, scheduled to be opened in 2042 and 2092.

A Visionary Opportunity

The property has long been a subject of local fascination. It is primarily a mixture of green marble, golden brass, and sharp geometric glass. And with that much space available, it could be anything from a high-end corporate retreat to a grand house.

It was recently listed for $49 million.
