Missourians in the 2026 Winter Olympics
Several Missouri natives and residents are competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy, with a heavy representation in ice hockey. Key athletes include NHL stars Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, Clayton Keller, and bobsledder Caleb Furnell.
So if you don’t really know who or what to cheer for, at least you have some Missourians to watch!
2026 Winter Olympians with Missouri Ties

- Matthew Tkachuk (St. Louis/Chaminade): Forward, Team USA men’s ice hockey.
- Brady Tkachuk (St. Louis/Chaminade): Forward, Team USA men’s ice hockey.
- Nick Saracino (St. Louis/CBC): Forward, Team Italy men’s ice hockey.
- Clayton Keller (Chesterfield): Forward, Team USA men’s ice hockey.
- Caleb Furnell (Lee’s Summit): Bobsledder, Team USA.
- Joy Dunne (O’Fallon/Fort Zumwalt South): Forward, Team USA women’s ice hockey.
- Tage Thompson (St. Louis): Forward, Team USA men’s ice hockey.
- Lindsey Vonn (University of Missouri online program): Alpine Skiing.
- Jordan Binnington (St. Louis Blues): Goaltender, Team Canada.
- Colton Parayko (St. Louis Blues): Defenseman, Team Canada.
- Phillip Broberg (St. Louis Blues): Defenseman, Team Sweden.
Paralympians (2026 Winter Games)
- Noah Elliott (St. Charles): Para snowboarding.
- Josh Pauls (Lindenwood University): Sled hockey.
Broadcasters

It should also be noted that my good friend and former colleague Steve Schlanger of St. Louis will be broadcasting at the games again. Schlanger reprises his role as a play-by-play commentator for cross-country skiing, for his second Winter Games and eighth Olympics assignment.
