From historic lakeside restaurants to new upscale establishments, Missouri is home to some of the best restaurants in the most beautiful locations. We scoured the state, talked with food writers, and checked rankings from across the web to come up with our “Essential Waterfront Restaurants in Missouri” list for 2024. We did our best to find the iconic restaurants in all parts of the state that had great views of the water. True, some may not be “waterfront”, but you get the point! Here are the Essential Waterfront Restaurants in Missouri that you need to put on your list.

The Canyon Grill at Dogwood Canyon is one of those places that you can’t really believe exists. If you can get there early and get a seat outside for lunch, consider yourself fortunate. Everyone I’ve spoken with who has eaten there has had trouble putting it into words. That’s how amazing it is.

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t going to include the Showboat Branson Belle on this list. Our debate was that you can’t see the water while eating. But then a friend said, “the food is excellent, the show is amazing, and you are literally eating on the water”, and I couldn’t argue with any of that.
