Little Talladega Mansion
There is an Airbnb in southern Missouri that is truly like none other. It’s called the Little Talladega – or The Drift Mansion – and yes, it has its own racetracks. The beautiful home sits on 62 acres near Pomona, which is in Howell County — deep in the Missouri Ozarks, midway between Willow Springs and West Plains.
So, if you want to get away from it all, but still be able to do some racing, then this is the place you’ve been looking for! While you can’t race your own car on the track, the owners do host drifting events throughout the year for invested drivers.
The Home:
The Tuscan-style home boasts nearly 9,000 square feet of living space with 8 bedrooms and 7.5 baths. The listing claims that the home can hold up to 20 guests and they will have plenty of activities to choose from. The owner says people never really want to leave the property to find other things to do, even if they stay for a week.
The Extras:
In addition to the cozy accommodations, you have access to some of the most unbelievable “extras” you can imagine. Here is the list of activities you can do “on property.”
- Go-Kart Race Track
- Arcade
- UTV Trails
- Tennis courts
- Billiards Lounge
- Electric Drift Carts
- Outdoor/Indoor Basketball
- Fishing
- Dirt Track
- Swimming Pool
- Fitness Center
The Story behind Little Talladega:
The owners of the property are a husband-and-wife team. Jonathan David grew up in west St. Louis County (Parkway South if you must ask) and moved to Springfield when he was 18 to work in the automotive field. That’s where he met his wife, Allison, who was a labor and delivery nurse who grew up in Willard. They decided to look for a new project in 2021 when they stumbled upon the property. The home was already built with a small racetrack so he expanded it to what it is today. Jon says he knew the moment he stepped foot on the property that this was where he was destined to be.
The Cost:
The price may sound steep, but not when you break down the numbers. It’s $3000 a night, but you can split that among 20 people. Plus, you have to book a 3-night minimum. Jon says it’s been a hit with wedding parties, family reunions, and corporate events and families keep coming back for more.
So, if you are a gear head, or just someone looking for the most unique getaway imaginable, this might be right for you. And it’s certainly another Legendary Missouri Mansion.
